P1-P4 REPORTS REMINDER
First term reports for the P1-P4 students are available in the office.

PRIMARY CARNIVAL BALL
The Primary students took part in the carnival ball on Thursday, 16th February. All the children were wearing amazing carnival costumes and participated in carnival activities enthusiastically. The pictures on our website will definitely reflect this (click here). Thank you for contributing to the class parties with delicious food and drink. We are also very grateful to Mrs Meiser for her great commitment in decorating the aula. Everybody enjoyed a professional photo session made by Fleshfot Photography Studio. Individual photos or the whole set may be obtained but it is not obligatory. The whole set consisting of 4 photos (10×15cm), 2 photos (15 ×21cm) and a class photo (15 ×21cm) will be available at the discount price of 42 PLN after the winter break. The form teachers will collect the money.

CEILIDH DANCING WORKSHOP
On Friday, 23rd March there will be a Celtic Ceilídh Dancing workshop with Richie Mullaney for the Primary, Middle and Diploma school. Our special guest comes from Dublin, Ireland, where he studied Youth Work. Richie Mullaney works for the European Educational Programme “LearningWithoutBorders” and he leads workshops all over Poland. His workshops include: Ireland Today, Teenage English, St.Patrick’s Day, Kid’s Day Fun & Games and Ceilidh dancing. Our students will experience a traditional Celtic Ceilídh Dance, like the Scots and the Irish, we will try the basic steps to some of the most famous Ceilídh tunes!
The cost for the 60-minute workshop per pupil is 17 PLN.  Please fill in the permission slip (click here to download) and give it back to your child's form teacher by Friday, 9th March 2012 along with the money for the workshop. Please remember that this workshop is part of the school’s curriculum and participation is compulsory.

CARNIVAL PARTY MIDDLE & DIPLOMA
Today the School Council organised a carnival party for Middle and Diploma students. Most of the pupils from M1 to D3 and teachers dressed up as a famous film star so that on block 4 the School Council showed a film in the Aula. The best costumes were chosen by a jury, the rewards will be given out after the winter holiday. Thanks GOES TO the School Council FOR the great commitment, especially to Manuela from D1. LUNCHES
In March there will be 22 lunches which totals 154 PLN. (For Parents who continue there will be one luch less due to the lesson cancellation on Tuesday 7th February - 21 lunches which totals 147 PLN) Please bring the money by THURSDAY 1st MARCH by 9:00. ATTENTION: It is very important to observe the payment deadlines. If you are not able to pay by Thursday 1st March but you would like your child to continue eating lunches please call the office or send an e-mail with that information, because on that day we will only order as many lunches as was paid or confirmed.

D3 MIDTERM REPORTS
Midterm reports for D3 only will be given out Friday 2nd March 2012.

Group 4 Project
From 13-15.02.2012 the D1 and D2 students participated in the Group 4 Project - an essential and compulsory element of the IB curriculum. The idea of the project is an interdisciplinary investigation of a chosen subject. This year the students were trying to find out as much as possible about soap, from the biological and physical points of view. In the Biology section, they checked whether antibacterial soaps really are antibacterial by investigating different soaps' influence on bacterial cultures, plants' leaves and skin. In the Physics section the students checked how these soaps affect friction between various surfaces.
