Mr Janusz Adamski

In 2006 all Primary students met Mr Janusz Adamski, who is an outstanding climber. His expeditions have been successful and he has reached nearly all the summits of the world including Mount Everest. Meeting with a man who has such amazing achievements made a great impact on us. Also an account he gave about struggling for survival when climbing to reach the top was admirable in the students’ eyes. We also had an opportunity to try on the mountaineer’s equipment and it turned out to be very exciting.

Nowadays Janusz Adamski is one of the three Poles to have climbed the Seven Summits. He also finished a series of long-distance orienteering races and in 2008 he made it to the finish of the Ładoga Trophy- one of the most difficult 4×4 rally in the world. In 2010 he took part in one of the stages of a relay expedition to Africa along the route of Kazimierz Nowak.
